driving thru the country side of california... somewhere on between paso robles & los angeles - millions of miles from both~ i felt like i was magically whisked away to grapes of wrath

nothing beats the light the sun set gives off on the beaches of california....

growing up i always passed the taxidermist & have always wanted to photograph it.... on a recent trip to visit my parents i found myself making friends. much to my mother surprise (she decided to accompany me) fran, the taxidermist was quite interesting conversation! i had a blast... thanks Fran!!

i jumped into this random subway car with NO people in it. It was around 3pm which is why i find it so odd that there was no one. To be honest it kind of creeped me out then i realized it was a place in between. The next stop people got on & the car was full.

i have started a new series of works the best part is they involve no camera at all... back tot eh basics of photography where you start to see how light plays against one another!

a little deviation from the usual place in between... while unpacking after a trip to IKEA i realized my bf had picked these up. At first i laughed at them then i thought about a fun photo series I could do with them... stay tuned!!

a hot mess in the flatiron district

a random building i walked by this evening... manhattan has some of the most luxurious buildings + some of the saddest. I found this gem on 28th street b/t 6th + broadway :)

my own place in between

while laying in bed of my new apt i realized it's a place in between.... we are remodeling it so it does not feel like home yet :( but it definitely has the creative juices flowing again. hoo rah!!!! it has these awful fluorescent lighting + i was playing with the idea of masking them with asian umbrellas (this was left from a geisha costume i dressed up in years ago).... i love the geometric feeling it gives off. 

Corporate America... definitely my least favorite place in between.... i'll let you decided what two places it is in between!

Hollywood.... probably one of my favorite places in between. this area of LA is beautiful!!!

refelections... i hope to start a series on reflections.. there is just something organic about them to me. Despite the fact that this is in a seedy cigarette butt filled NYC street!

NYC.... i love the dirty, graffitti streets of SoHo

I have no other way to describe this than the pits of hell.... playing once again with my cheap plastic camera with 4 timed lens... it makes the images so much more fun. 

scared of the dark

I have noticed that in NYC i have developed this sense of fear when life becomes completely dark... i just am so not used to it?!?!? It feel extremely foreign to me + i feel like part of a bad horror flick!! 

Upon entering the station half of the lights were out? This was a part of the station that i needed to be in.. but it was so bizarrely odd that i just started photographing + this is one of the images :)
